Frequently asked questions

How does Yako work?
Yako listens to podcasts and shows from creators across sports, culture, tech, and business — then summarizes the most interesting moments into 45-second audio briefings. You can listen to the briefings anywhere: driving, walking, between meetings.

Is Yako free?
Yes. Yako is currently free to use. We may introduce paid features in the future, and if we do, we'll give you clear notice.

How do I sign in?
Yako uses passwordless magic link sign-in. Enter your email, and we'll send you a one-tap sign-in link. No passwords to remember.

Can I listen offline?
Not yet. Offline listening is on our roadmap.

How do I delete my account?
In the Yako app, go to the profile or settings area and tap "Delete my account." Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted.

Can I suggest a podcast or show to cover?
Absolutely. Email us at privacy@yakonews.com with the show name and we'll consider it for future coverage.

I found a bug — how do I report it?
Email us at privacy@yakonews.com with a brief description and, if possible, a screenshot or screen recording. We'll investigate and reply.

How is Yako different from podcast apps?
Podcast apps give you full-length episodes. Yako gives you 45-second summaries of the most interesting moments across many shows at once. Think of it like an audio news wire — you stay informed without needing to commit hours.

Does Yako replace listening to the original creators?
No. Yako is a complement — our briefings always credit the original speakers and sources. If you hear something interesting, we encourage you to seek out the full episode from the creator directly.
